Spring Fashion Favorites

I'm super excited to share with ya'll some of my favorite new outfits that are perfect for Spring. Now before you remind me that June is next week, let me tell you that I am in the Midwest. Illinois, to be exact and right now in this lovely state it is spring one day and fall the next. There has been so much stinking rain that I feel like I'm on an episode of Grey's Anatomy, living in Seattle. So while summer might be right around the corner, us midwest girls have barely experienced Springtime! And I don't know about you, but I look forward to wearing new outfits as the seasons change, even if you do get all four seasons in one week! - I wish I was exaggerating.

Anyways, lets Spring Forward... ( I'm making myself chuckle at this one )

I was inspired this year by old and new trends. I've always been a sucker for all things floral as long as I don't end up looking like my grandmother's table linen. This year I feel like off the shoulder tops are taking over and I'm all about showing off the décolletage. Ooh sounds sexual! But really it's just a fancy word for your collar bones, ha. Anyways, I'm loving embracing off the shoulder tops because it's an easy way to dress up your look yet it can still be casual when paired with denim.

Another go to piece I've been loving lately is a kimono. It can easily take your look to the next level and you don't have to put much thought into it. Oh and did I mention that when the wind blows, it feels like I'm wearing a cape and I pretend I'm the next Avenger. Yes, I am a Marvel geek and yes Captain America is my favorite.

And of course a timeless piece that is a staple in my wardrobe is the maxi dress. I love how you can wear it during the day with some flats and then throw on some booties at night to dress it up. They come in so many different styles and patterns and they're also great if you love food like I do. Consider the maxi dress springtime's equivalent to yoga pants.

I hope you all enjoyed a glimpse into some of my favorite looks for this Spring. All the outfit details will be listed below. Thanks for reading and I'd love to know what some of your favorite pieces for spring are!

-xoxo, M.
