February Favorites

Praise Jesus that February is coming to an end! The older I get, the more I just can't stand the winters- my midwest people know what I'm talking about! Plus, March is my birthday month and that's pretty much my favorite holiday of the year!

Anyways, one of my favorite things to write about are my current favorite products and purchases. If you've been with me for a while now, you know I'm a bit of product junkie and a little bit of a shopaholic. And I figure if I'm loving something, it's my duty to share with you all, right??

This month I've tried some new beauty products that have quickly become part of my everyday makeup routine. I've also found one of my favorite skincare lines that has completely taken over my nighttime skincare routine. And I've discovered a couple new brands that I love not only for their amazing products but also because they're all about giving back!

Don't forget if you're interested in any of these items, all you gotta do is click on the title and it's linked to where you can purchase!

1. Tarte Tape Shape Foundation: If you are into the world of beauty, you know that this foundation was highly anticipated after the world went crazy for their shape tape concealer! I could not wait to get my hands on this bad boy and I have to say that for the most part, I am very impressed. This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a dofa applicator, which I love because its mess free and more sanitary. This is a matte foundation that is definitely full coverage. If you need to cover something up, this thing will be your best friend. Overall, I love the way that this is truly a matte foundation and it keeps my oil at bay for several hours. My only issues with it are that it is dries very fast when applied and it does oxidize on my skin. To combat those issues, I've been using a moisturizing primer, applying it in sections with a damp beauty blender, and blending it in quickly before it dries!

2. T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum by Drunk Elephant: This. product. is. amazing. and. you. need. to. go. buy. it. immiediately! Ok, did the dramatic effect make my point obvious? But seriously, I was on the fence about this product for probably a year because of the high price. I finally decided to purchase the travel size option at Sephora and after just one use, I was hooked! This product contains an AHA/BHA blend that gently exfoliates the skin and helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, excess oiliness, and the appearance of pores. I mean what more can you ask for right? I swear that after I use this, I wake up and my skin feels like a baby's butt and I can definitely notice a reduction in my pores. Because it's an exfoliator and pretty expensive, I only use this product about 2-3 times per week and you really only need the tiniest amount!

3. BareMinerals Buttercream Lipgloss in the shade Snarky: This lipgloss has become my new go to gloss that I take with me everywhere I go! I love the formula of these BareMinerals lipglosses- they are super pigmented, creamy, and most importantly they're not sticky! I purchased the shades Sugar and Snarky and for my skin tone, Snarky is the perfect shade of pink! If you have a lighter skin tone and are looking for a pretty nude pink color, I would go with Sugar. Either way, you can't go wrong and if you're a gloss girl, I highly recommend these!

4. Love Your Melon Beanie: So, I feel a little late to the game on this one but I've been wanting one of these hats for the longest time! And after finally getting my hands on one, I can say it definitely did not disappoint. I love the color combo that I got and I love the way this style looks! It fits great and it definitely keeps me warm! And one of the greatest things about this company is that 50% of profit from all the products sold goes to support the fight against pediatric cancer. This is a purchase that you will not only love but it will make you feel good to know you're helping give back!

5. Warby Parker Glasses in the style Vaughn: This was my first time purchasing glasses from Warby Parker and I'm so happy that I did. I'm obsessed with these style of frames and feel like I finally found the perfect pair for my face shape. One of the best things about Warby Parker is they have so many different styles and color options to choose from. You can purchase in store or online, and they will even ship several frames directly to your house for you to try on and determine which is your favorite. Warby Parker also donates one pair of glasses to someone in need with every pair of glasses purchased. I'm loving these companies that are all about helping others and giving back!

I hope you all enjoyed my favorite products/purchases from the month of February! I'm thinking about making this a monthly routine, let me know if you guys would like that! Happy almost spring ya'll!! (No, I'm not from the south but ya'll is pretty much the best word ever)
