Favorite Clean Snacks

Does anyone else feel like your life revolves around food? I know I can't be the only one who loves food as much as I do and gets seriously hangry when I don't eat when I'm hungry. The hanger can be real sometimes, just ask my poor husband. Actually, I take that back. My husband gets hangrier than I do. We may have issues but hey a couple who eats together stays together, right?

Anyways, I love food and I love trying new things. Prior to about a year ago, I honestly just ate whatever I wanted regardless of its nutritional benefits. As I've gotten older, I've become much more interested into healthy eating and trying to eat whole + clean foods. Now don't get me wrong this is still a huge struggle for me. It's so much easier said than done but it's something that I'm continuing to work on.

On average, I try to eat three meals per day with some snacks in between. Over the last year I've found some of my favorite snacks that I eat almost daily. I wanted to share with ya'll some of my favorite clean snacks/treats that are a staple in my diet.

1. Wholeme ( Cinnamon/Banana Chip): These granola clusters are so yummy and make a great breakfast or morning snack. This is my favorite flavor but I also love their Lemon Berry Chia. These clusters are soft, chewy, and have tons of flavor. They are grain and gluten free and made with whole ingredients.  ($6.99-$7.99 depending on location)

2. RXBAR: These protein bars are hands down my favorite go-to snack. It was love at first bite with these! My favorite flavors are Blueberry, Mixed Berry, and Chocolate Sea Salt. I love that they're made with whole ingredients which include: egg whites, almonds, cashews, dates, and no B.S. ( love that they add this! ) These bars are super chewy so if you're a texture person, these might not be for you. But if you don't mind the chewiness and want a yummy protein bar then these won't let you down! ($1.99/bar @ TJs & 2.99/bar @ WholeFoods)

3. EPIC bars: These bars are a great way to get a protein filled snack on the go. I often will eat them at work when it's a busy day and I need something that's filling. My favorite one is the chicken sriracha flavor because duh, sriracha is life. It has 15g of protein and is also gluten free! ($2.50-$2.99/bar)

4. Roasted Seawood: Okay, I feel like I might be the only one to be obsessed with seawood but hey I'm not complaining. It may sound strange at first but this is the perfect salty alternative to chips. I love these two from Trader Joe's in the original flavor and teriyaki. Both are equally good in my opinion and help to satisfy my salty cravings. ( $1/package or $5ish for a pack of 6 I believe)

5. Theo Chocolate Bars: Can't. live. without. dark. chocolate. But seriously, I can't. I love having a little piece of dark chocolate at night and this is one of my favorite brands. Theo creates their bars with organic ingredients and they are oh so yummy! And hey dark chocolate is good for your heart right? ( About $3.00-$3.99/bar)

All of these snacks I found at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. I know that RXBARS are coming soon to Target which I'm super excited about! I've also seen EPIC bars and the WholeMe granola at other health food stores! I hope you all enjoyed seeing some of my favorite snacks! I'd love to hear what some of yours are!
